Mim's Seafood Bistro

No matter how many times we've been to St. Thomas, we always dine at Mim's, and for many reasons. For more than two decades, this casual waterfront diner has been serving fresh fish and other seafood and island specialties in a romantic waterfront setting.
The lobster is one such specialty, but we can also recommend the snapper with almonds, lightly floured and baked, coated in toasted almonds, served with a ginger-horseradish sauce, served with roasted potatoes and a roasted vegetable casserole. .
I am a pasta lover so when I saw their extensive pasta menu I was very excited. Our lovely server suggested shrimp and crab in a lobster cream sauce. yes this is to die for
With beautiful views, great service and great food, it's no wonder we keep coming back to Mim's, one of St. Thomas's best restaurants.
Gladys coffee

Located in the heart of historic Frenchtown, Gladys' Café serves casual Caribbean fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a charming and colorful setting. Paintings by local artists decorate the brick walls of the restaurant and are available for purchase. The food here is fresh and delicious, and the service is excellent.
We came for lunch and enjoyed grouper fillets, creole-style fried with a local sauce.bacteria (cornmeal mixed with okra), fresh vegetables and plantains. Grilled mahi mahi on toast was another winner, served with lettuce, tomato and fries. You'll find plenty of menu options at one of St. Thomas's best restaurants.
Gladys' is also known for its award-winning homemade hot sauce, which is so popular it can be ordered online and shipped to the mainland. A word of warning, they are hot, but always good. My personal favorite is mango!
Sunset Cove-bar en -grill

Tired and hungry the day we arrived in St. Thomas, we decided to head to the poolside restaurant bar at Marriott Frenchman's Cove for a late lunch until our villa was ready. It was such a pleasant dining experience that we ate there on our last day before heading back to the airport.
First, the setting is spectacular. Sunset Cove is outdoors with all tables overlooking the pool or sea. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner entrees and everything here far exceeded our expectations. This is no ordinary pool bar kitchen.
Our favorites (along with some of the island's creative drinks) are the Mahi Fish Tacos with Coleslaw, served in a flour tortilla and drizzled with a cilantro-lime dressing.
Nachos Supreme with Beef is a nacho dish piled high with cheddar cheese, black bean salsa, chipotle peppers, chopped lettuce, tomato, sour cream and salsa. Although it was on the main menu it was enough for the four of us to share. Finally, the mango habanero wings were spectacular.
If you're looking for beachfront dining in St. Thomas, don't overlook Sunset, one of the best restaurants in St. Thomas.

This award-winning mainstay of St. Thomas has been serving tourists and islanders since 1952. At 250 meters above sea level, at the Mafolie Boutique Hotel, the views from every table are breathtaking, especially those on the railing. This is the perfect location for a date night.
Dinner each night includes dishes from the land and sea, as well as entrees, soups and salads. Love the Mango Avocado Mafolie salad with mixed vegetables, carrots andStar fruit(Carambola) balsamic vinegar. Shrimp, chicken, mahi mahi or tuna can be added for an extra charge. I chose the prawns which went perfectly with the salad.
My partner chose the spicy tuna with bell pepper, Japanese seaweed, mashed potatoes, plantains and various vegetables. The main courses were well prepared and the view during the day and night is unparalleled.
One of the best restaurants in St. Thomas, this one should be on your short list for dining in St. Thomas.
Amalia Cafe

A cobbled path leads to this charming Spanish-style restaurant, open every day for lunch and dinner.
We went for lunch and it was a great dining experience. coffee specialtysnackAnd the choice is impressive.
We started with the Champinones Ajillo, mushrooms sautéed with garlic, then shared what we had heard was one of the restaurant's best options, the Paella Valencia. This traditional Spanish dish is excellent with saffron rice cooked with fish stock, chicken, squid, prawns, mussels and clams. Believe me, there is a lot to share.
Leave some room for dessert, because the blueberry banana bread pudding is delicious!
If you want to try something different, varied and unique, Amalia Café is the place to eat in St. Thomas. It's one of the best restaurants in St. Thomas for a reason!
Bluebeard's observation deck

Recently reopened under a new name, the Bluebeard Castle View Deck (formerly View Room) sits atop a hill overlooking downtown Charlotte Amalie and the twinkling lights of the cruise port.
Al fresco dining also offers unique views of Long Bay's beautiful marina. A gentle afternoon breeze adds a warm accompaniment to a pleasant summer sunset.
While the menu is not extensive, it is well thought out and artfully presented. Since this was our first dining experience here, we sought a recommendation from our waiter and we are so glad we did. Soup du Jour is a hit: asparagus cream with crab cubes and Gruyère cheese.
Grilled Berkshire Porterhouse Pork Chops served with Anson Mills Farro Risotto with Walnuts and Parmesan, Baby Carrots and Pork Marsala Soup was delicious and tender.
The Sou Vide New York strip was another winner. New Zealand grain-fed Black Angus beef is cooked in garlic and herb duck fat butter, cut into four large pieces and served with crispy mashed potatoes and asparagus.
For a romantic dinner, this place is popular and it really is one of the best restaurants in St. Thomas!
Duffy's love cabin

I know there are better restaurants on the island, but everyone should go to the famous "parking lot" restaurant Duffy's Love Shack at least once. It's a rite of passage. If floating bubbles don't entice you to this quirky eatery, then the lime green shutters and loud island rock music certainly will.
Located on the edge of the Red Hook parking lot from where the ferry departs for St. John's, Duffy's tropical brew is quite interesting. You won't find a better pain reliever in St. Thomas.
Consisting of dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice and a healthy dose of coconut cream, it is then topped with a pinch of nutmeg. It will heal what ails you, but beware, they are known to bend their knees!
Duffy's does not call itself a lunch and dinner restaurant, but a 'pub with good food'. what's good Well, usually we don't order the main dish, but a variety of small dishes to share with the family. Coco Loco Shrimp is coconut shrimp with pineapple jalapeño sauce. Jamaican Jerk Nachos piled high and paired well with Jerk Chicken.
We highly recommend the Polynesian Pu-Pu Platter with sweet and spicy Fijian wings, Asian beef skewers, sweet plantains, braised baby back ribs, shrimp dumplings and rum-soaked pineapple.
