Several train lines take you to the Upper West Side, so getting there is not a problem. HeACB j DThe lines pass through Central Park West. You can get off at the 59th Street/Columbus Circle stop and walk north. He1The train runs along Broadway as well as the west side of Central Park. You can exit the subway at the 66th Street/Lincoln Center station.

Located just off Columbus Circle, the Time Warner Center attracts many tourists and locals alike and is one of the Upper West Side attractions. Offers breathtaking views of Central Park and part of the Manhattan skyline. There are also plenty of restaurants and shops (we'll cover the shopping part later in this guide). Here is one of the most outstanding restaurants in the world. The Per Se venue was founded by celebrity chef Thomas Keller, who also opened the famous French Laundry restaurant.

Park near the river

We know that Central Park is right next door, and although it is the most popular park, sometimes people forget about other beautiful green spaces in Riverside Park. It also sits right on the water, making it perfect for a long walk, run, or bike ride. The park starts on the Upper West Side (72nd St.) and ends atHarlem(phone 158).

Riverside Park has another Upper West Side landmark. HeGeneral-Grant-NationaldenkmalIt is the resting place of Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1885), Civil War general and 18th President of the United States. His wife is also buried in the mausoleum.

Catch a show at the Beacon Theater

The theater opened in 1929 and is an emblematic piece of architecture in the neighborhood. One of the best things to do on the Upper West Side is a show at the Beacon Theatre, where world-class talent performs here. Former performers include David Bowie, Duran Duran and Mariah Carey.
